For those of you who follow my blog, you’ll know that a few weeks ago I went on a trip to England. Now, this was no ordinary trip because I grew up in England – and so it was more of a reunion. It had been seven years since I’d seen where I spent thirteen years of my life and the people who I spent that time with.
I’m not going to embellish it as a grand adventure when it wasn’t, so I’m sorry if that’s disappointing. It was a very personal trip that I’m not quite ready to divulge in. It was hard and confronting, and heartbreaking at times and on more than one occasion I was ready to come home. But, it was also beautiful and enlightening and filled with so many happy memories of loved ones.
It’s always tricky seeing how changed everything is from when you were a child – my brain couldn’t quite register why everything was so much smaller than I remembered. As you can tell if you were awaiting more posts in my absence, I was not in the right mindset to be creative. It was jam packed full three weeks, and I decided to spend the time I had with the people I travelled so far to see.
I want to thank everyone who made my trip what it was; it will always have a special place in my memories.
But alas, that aside I am now back, and you’ll be seeing a lot of me. Stay tuned and enjoy these snippets from my trip.
